Blog 4 - Question 1

I definitely think vitamins and supplements are especially appropriate to buy as a natural product because I believe they are better fortified to nourish the body versus those that are more conventional.   I try to buy natural vitamins as often as I can (and if I can afford it).

I'm not sure that any healthcare categories are least appropriate to have natural options.  I think it is good for all healthcare categories to offer some kind of natural options for those who may be sensitive to ingredients in the standard OTC products or just want to use a more holistic approach to their health.

  1. Thinking about your experiences with natural products, do you think there's a limit to how "much" they can do? Are there issues/symptoms that you would rather turn to conventional OTC products--if so, which ones and why?

    Thanks for following up!

  2. Yes - I've found some more severe symptoms for colds and flus to be better suited for standard OTC products than natural ones. It really just depends on how severe the issue is - I try out natural remedies first, then if that doesn't seem to help, I turn to the stronger OTC stuff or something I know will work immediately. If I have a terrible head cold that is interferring with work, I will most likely take conventional OTC medicine like Dayquil to knock it out so I can get back to work, versus trying a natural remedy that may not work.
