Blog 4 - Question 3

Bayer -  I had to look up what products Bayer offered besides their Aspirin.  Coppertone, Alka Seltzer, Claritin and One a Day are just a few of the brands made by Bayer.  I definitely see potential for many of their products, especially Coppertone and natural sunscreen.  One A Day vitamins could also offer natural alternatives to their vitamins (gluten free, no preservatives or artificial colors, etc) and I would be interested in trying these products.

Johnson and Johnson have such a huge array of products, I certainly see them as being capable of offering a vast amount of natural products.  Diversifying their products to offer more natural selections (both in healthcare and cleaning products) would be very beneficial and it would make me look at the company in a better light.

Pfizer -  I only knew of Pfizer offering prescription medications, however, I found out that they also manufacture Advil, Centrum, Dimetapp and Chapstick.  Because they are primarily a pharmaceutical company, I'm not sure that they will put much energy into producing more natural products since the bulk of their money comes from prescriptions.  Still, I would like to purchase a more natural version of Chapstick or Dimetapp since I believe both have alot of artificial ingredients.

I definitely think vitamins and supplements are especially appropriate to buy as a natural product because I believe they are better fortified to nourish the body versus those that are more conventional.   I try to buy natural vitamins as often as I can (and if I can afford it). I'm not sure that any healthcare categories are least appropriate to have natural options.  I think it is good for all healthcare categories to offer some kind of natural options for those who may be sensitive to ingredients in the standard OTC products or just want to use a more holistic approach to their health.

Blog 4 - Question 5

I am a big fan of the idea of the Natural Whole Body Care products listed...  I like that the ingredients include 'time tested' ingredients made to support the body AND mind.   The Herbal Stress Support stood out to me as the one I would most want to try.  I would also be curious to try the herbal sleep aid as sometimes I have trouble with insomnia, but I don't want to take heavy duty OTC sleep medicine. A.   If this came from a new brand, I would definitely be open to try it as long as it wasn't too expensive.  I would probably try one of the products (probably the stress relief formula) to see how it worked before trying the other ones.   I suppose coming from a new brand that isn't established, I would be curious to try the product and/or search for reviews online or ask my friends if they have tried them. B.    I don't know that I could see One A Day doing a whole all natural, holistic line like this or if I would support i...

Blog 3- Question 5

In CVS, I found the natural products mixed in with the conventional products - the natural cold medicine mixed in with the conventional cold medicine, the natural laxatives mixed in with the conventional laxatives, etc.  I would prefer that all the natural medicines be located in one section together and not mixed in with the conventional OTC products.  To me, it makes finding all natural products simpler as it can be a bit of a scavenger hunt finding the all natural products when they are mixed  in with the conventional ones.
