Blog 2 - Question 4

A few of my coworkers are very much into health and holistic medicine.  I suppose they were the ones who I started having a conversation with about natural remedies to health issues and the like. As I got into my 30s and started having a few issues (such as achy joints and brain fog and stress related issues), I started looking at ways to supplement my diet and exercise with vitamins that were most beneficial to me.  I remembering reading that B vitamins and magnesium are depleted during times of high stress, so I started researching online how best to combat this depletion.  I was informed that you should always go with a higher quality vitamin (such as Magnesium Glycinate Chelate) because it allows for better absorption into the body.   I was a little hesitant on the higher price of the vitamins - I suppose that was my only hesitation - but once I started feeling the difference these higher quality vitamins made I knew I made the right decision.

I believe my first purchase was  a high quality sublingual (liquid) B complex from Amazon.  I read the reviews and people were raving about it, and when I tried it, I felt a difference as well.  It had the proper ratio of B vitamins, and again, I totally felt a difference when taking it.

  1. When you were reading about B vitamins and magnesium, do you recall where you were reading about this (a particular magazine? doctor's office brochure?). Then, when you did more research online, which websites did you go to?

  2. It was all online where I got my information. I can't remember exactly what websites I went to, but I do frequent everydayhealth.com as well as webmd. I'm also a big fan of Dr Axe and his videos and website.
